Jesus makes some interesting observations in John 8: 31-36.  He declares to a group of Believers that they are deceived.  Furthermore, that this deception has caused them to come into bondage of various types and has compromised their freedom as individuals.  If the ministry of Jesus Christ was about anything…it was basically about freedom; freedom from disease, freedom from oppression, freedom from demonization of our emotions which results in various kinds of addictions (the ultimate bondage), and last but not least, freedom from deception.   He points out that the hallmark of a true apprentice to His School of Life of which He is Master, was that they essentially were aware of and had an ability to discern –truth; in all situations and circumstances.  His comments insinuate that “truth” is less than obvious and few are ever truly and actively cognizant of it, including many people who believe in Him.  In addition, He said that this ability to discern truth is the bi-product of worship coupled with study of His Word.  Both these spiritual disciplines bring the hallmark of a “true disciple”.

If you seek truth in the biological fields, in addition to the necessary revelation from the Word, the quest will always lead you to a competent veterinarian since truth in the traditional human medical fields as been adulterated by both politics and convoluted market forces. The only exception to this rule, that I'm aware of, would be the incident with the young woman in the Weatherford area who was employed by a Cutting Horse Trainer there.  She had her veterinarian do the first sonogram of her pregnancy (it was free vs. no doubt hundreds of $ from an obstetrician).  He proudly pronounced that she was having twins.  She immediately took a shot of Tequila and promptly made an appointment with an obstetrician only to discover she was actually going to have a boy (no twins).  Due to the veterinarian’s stellar reputation, speculation is wide spread that his "misinterpretation" of the sonogram was an attempt to scare her into conventional obstetrical care.  It worked, halleluiah!

But I digress.  Our local veterinarian told Mandy (my daughter) that there are really only two main strains of flu: type "A" or "H1N1".  Furthermore, there have always only been two dominant types of flu.  Type "A" has been popularized by the media which refers to it as "Bird" Flu, and of course we all know how the government had to intervene in the media's use of the term "Swine" to refer to H1N1 due to the resulting hysteria. I will never be ceased to be surprised by the mass media's ability to subtly manipulate the truth to evoke an emotional response from its consumers.  It seems the generic, but more accurate term of "flu", just doesn't sell newspapers as they say.  Again, quoting Doc Morrow, "Flu is now, and always has been a serious threat to health.  It can be very acute, and there are deaths from it in every nation in every year.  There always will be, and the dominant strains always have been and always will be either, "H1N1" or "A"; Swine flu and Bird flu respectively. "

This comes from a man whose own daughter was saved from death by prayer and the resulting guidance of the Holy Spirit which caused him to intervene in her medical treatment and demand that Doctors change her treatment regimen and move her to another hospital or face legal action.  Her recovery was truly miraculous. Another example of the value of unadulterated truth, i.e. an absence of the deception of the spirit of the anti-Christ (the Biblical name for the demonic spirit that constantly tries to emulate  the various powers and abilities of Christ and thereby steal the resultant glory), in the field of biological medicine coupled with the leadership of the Holy Spirit.  In addition his son has tested positive for type "A" flu titers, yet he refuses to compromise truth with emotion. He understands that he needs to keep his nutrition, rest, and exposure to stress in good balance.  And coupled with prayer, he has nothing to fear from an everyday disease that the media has promoted into a natural act of terrorism.

The truth that I choose to believe is: Psalm 91:3-6 (NKJV)

Surely

^dHe shall deliver you from the snare of the ¹fowler and from the perilous pestilence.

^{4 e}He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and  ²buckler.

^{5 f}You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,

⁶ Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

Keep you nutrition, rest, and stress in good balance, and most importantly…pray!  So that, "No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; " (Psalm 91:10, NKJV)
