Amos 3:3 (NKJV) asks the question, "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?   Walking with God requires coming in agreement with His Word (Jesus).  Part of our not being able to come in agreement with God in our lives is because we have "intellectual faith" instead of "heart faith". 

Example 1:   God's Word tells us we are loved. We can say that we believe we are loved, but often it is intellectual belief.  Do we know that we know that we know that our Heavenly Father loves us, chose us, has adopted us, and accepts us (Ephesians 1:3-6)?  

Example 2:   God's Word tells us that "By Jesus stripes we are healed" (I Peter 2:24).  Our intellect may tell us this is true, but does not apply to our situation, because we are going by our feelings, and how we feel tells our intellect we are sick, no matter what God's Word says.  "Heart faith" does not go by how we feel, or a doctor's report.  "Heart faith" says, "God's Word is truth, and truth is, I am healed no matter how I feel, or what the bad report is.  I'm standing on the Word of God, and truth is, I am healed." 

When we do not agree  with God's Word, we get off the path.  To live the abundant life that Jesus has provided for us (John 10:10) requires us to walk with God in agreement of God's truths. 

How do we go from "intellectual faith" to "heart faith" of knowing that we know that we know?  Only can we receive “heart faith” through the power of Holy Spirit.  Let’s find the truths of God's Word that our intellect does not agree with, and then ask Holy Spirit to witness to our spirit in regard to a specific truth.  Ask for Spirit of Faith to empower us with the faith to receive truth and bypass our intellect, standing on the truth of God's Word no matter what. 

Jesus tells us, "I am the way, the truth, and the life…  The way is the path to God and the abundant life.  The truth is God's Word.  When we stay on the path with Jesus, in agreement with Him, we will find the abundant life.  Walking with God brings life when we agree in the very core of our being with Him, regardless of circumstances.

Let's ask the Lord to reveal to us the truths of God's Word that we are not in agreement with so that we can come in agreement with the help of Holy Spirit, and get back on the path with Jesus.
